About the YMCA in Suffolk
YMCA is the oldest and largest youth charity in the world, set up by Sir George Williams in England in 1844. Across England and Wales, we run as a federation with 116 local YMCAs working independently to support young people to belong, contribute and thrive in their communities.
YMCA Suffolk offer services and support to young lives and their families in the wider Suffolk community to enable them to realise their full potential.
We provide Supported Housing, Youth Work and YMCA Childcare to young people across Suffolk. We have a Fitness Suite, Sports Hall, meeting and conference rooms and a function room for events in Ipswich. These are available to our residents as well as the general public.
We help people to believe in themselves, inspire them to raise their aspirations and support them to achieve their goals so they have a brighter future.
